So, when my sweet daughter first started ripping at her diapers, I kept thinking, I just need to distract her, and then she won't remember she's wearing Velcro. That didn't work.
Then I thought, oh, I'll just keep her in pants all the time. Well, it's 90 degrees here, so, that didn't work.
At this point, I was noticing that only our snap diapers would stay on her...so I thought I could sneak the Velcro in during nap time. She woke up from one nap drenched in her pee with no diaper on, and SCREAMING, so that didn't work.
Apparently my sweet little one just loved the sound the Velcro made WAY too much...so, we are now a 100% snap family :) No more Velcro for this little girl! We will tuck them away for the next one! LUCKILY, we love the Rock-a-Bum snaps and they are strong enough to ward off her little 15 month old mischievous ways :)
**If you are a disposable only family, the Rock-a-Bums covers are designed to go over disposables too, and it will keep your little one from ditching their disposable diaper!
This is my little girl attempting to
take off the Rock-A-Bums, thank goodness the snaps are strong! |

DeleteMy fear is finding her with her diaper off playing in her poop. My little 13 month old discovered the sound of Velcro about two months ago. I often keep shorts on her. I have heard horror stories of poop smearing.
ReplyDeleteStinkies! I am always afraid the diapers are going to get stinkie

ReplyDeleteThe sun is your best stain removing friend! The RAB also have the gray fleece so you don't have to worry as much about them staining! We have even gone through the blueberry poo here :)
DeleteI want to cloth diaper but worry the laundry will overwhelm me.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to keep the diaper laundry to a minimum is having a large enough stash to keep you going. We only do laundry two or three times a week (mostly just two)!

ReplyDeleteThe sun and the gray fleece are the best combos for not having stains! :)
DeleteMisplacing a diaper is my biggest fear. I can dream with stinkies, and yeast, and poop... but I fear losing my diapers.
ReplyDelete- Patricia B-
Getting pooped on. Hahah but that's an illogical fear if I'm using cloth. I guess I will have to agree with sweets, I would be really sad if I accidentally left my diaper somewhere and misplaced it. :( Or if I were drying my diapers outside and someone stole them. :(
ReplyDeleteAccidentally washing them with a non safe detergent.
ReplyDeleteAccidentally using the wrong detergent or using dryer sheets and ruining them!

ReplyDeletenight time diapers and ammonia, such a battle!
ReplyDelete(Rachel N)
Ammonia!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely ammonia!
ReplyDeleteMy number one fear is the stinky diaper pail. I HATE pulling out the pail liner and I always RUN to the washing machine, shove everything in, and slam it shut so that I don't have to smell the two-day-old diapers.
ReplyDeleteexplosions!
ReplyDeleteAmmonia stink!
ReplyDeleteStinky diaper pail. When we used Sophie's, it as the kitchen trash, now it's my laundry room... I'm always sniffing around, afraid everyone can smell it but me.

ReplyDeleterunning out of diapers
ReplyDeleteWell mine already happened and I survived but having the diaper overflow and leak all over me (poopy one)!
ReplyDeleteHaving my stash ruined by some freak accident !
ReplyDeleteLeaks, leaking, or overflowing of the diaper.
ReplyDeleteRemoving the velcro diapers. Only 10 months and she can already undo the aplix. At least I mostly have snaps; the aplix ones are for nighttime, and they get covered by a onesie, so she can't get to them. Other than that, yeast. Or forgetting a diaper-containing wetbag in the car. Thankfully the last two haven't happened. Yet.
ReplyDeletePotty training :( After 2+ years I have gotten over the fears I once had but I do dread not having a fluffy anymore
ReplyDeleteGetting am ammonia smell in the diapers I can't get rid of!

ReplyDeleteForgetting to pack essentials for cloth when out for a day (wipes, wet bag, etc).
ReplyDeleteI dont think I am really afraid of anything....maybe realizing that even though I switched to save money, I'm not really saving.
ReplyDeletegetting the fit right-fear of leaks
ReplyDeleteI am only afraid of Ammonia and Yeast!
ReplyDeleteThat husband won't cd when I'm not home!!
ReplyDeleteI EC, so missing a poop and having to spray out a diaper is first, followed by baby leaking all over my bed!
ReplyDeleteYeast. Lol. Sounds like a nightmare for cloth!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid lo will figure out snaps too!
ReplyDeleteA forgotten wet bag!
ReplyDeleteAmmonia build up, stinky diapers that are used overnight.

ReplyDeleteAccidentally throwing a cloth diaper in the garbage!
ReplyDeleteEnding up with fabric softener or scented detergent residue in my diapers when washing them at an out-of-town family member's house.
ReplyDeleteI think my number one fear is yeast. This is followed closely by a fear of my mom ruining all of my cloth diapers in the wash when she comes to help with baby #2 (due in late August). I actually posted a washing routine list by the washer to prevent this.
ReplyDeleteThat I'll forget to put his pants on and he'll take it off during nap... and we'll have to clean up more of his "art work." Lol. Stinker.
