Rock-A-Bums, Rockin' a Swim
Now the weather is starting to turn nice, and our minds
start shifting from mud puddles and umbrellas to flip flops and swimming
pools. The sounds, smells and surroundings
of summer are finally here...
Every family has their own way of beating the heat, but for
us, we like to be outside (lathered in sunscreen of course) and in some form of
water. Now, since we exclusively cloth
diaper, finding a swim diaper is not all that difficult, we have a stash full
of them. It only takes one MINOR adjustment
to our every day Rock-A-Bums cover to turn it into a swim diaper. I take the cover, (which is on the middle rise
snap setting for my daughter), and I snap it down to the smallest rise
setting. That is all. I know what you’re thinking, “it really can’t
be that easy,” but, it REALLY is! Once I
have it snapped down, all I have to do is put it on her, along with her
swimsuit and she is set!
When using the Rock-A-Bums diaper as a swim diaper, you want
to make sure that you leave OUT the insert.
No insert is necessary when using it as a swim diaper, you just want the
cover to hold in any messes.
Do you know what I love best about using my Rock-A-Bums
diapers as swim diapers?
1.
The inside is GRAY fleece, so if she makes a
mess inside of it, it won’t show a stain
2.
They are reusable, so I won’t be creating any
waste
3.
I don’t have to rush to the store to find the
right “size” before my little darling can splash in the pool.
It’s a win for everyone!

ReplyDeleteI don't know, we haven't had much heat yet here in MN this year! :/
ReplyDeleteBut when we do, any kind of water, pool, sprinkler, puddle ;)
Sprinklers, pools and lakes are how we stay cool! For down time though, we like movie nights in the lower level, where its always super nice and cool!
ReplyDeletenot very eco-friendly but going to the mall in the cool AC! :P
ReplyDeleteWe like to beat the heat by hanging out in the pool and eating freezes!
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the neighborhood ice cream truck!
ReplyDeleteThe beach! I actually get to SIT while the boys dig in the sand. Then I can just dunk them in the lake!
ReplyDeleteOur favorite way to cool off is to drink some nice cold water or juice and go swimming!
ReplyDeleteI plan on spending lots of time in the pool in our backyard this summer :) Thanks for this opportunity!

ReplyDeleteswimming and cool lemonade!
ReplyDeleteLOVE going to the beach. I grew up 12 hours away from the beach, but not I live 15 minutes away! Favorite summer activity by far... and the best way to combat the heat!
ReplyDeletemy girls love the water. My 10 month old throws temper tantrums when bath time is OVER! ha... (not that I'm fond of the tantrums) it's pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteMy 3 y/o got to have a swimming party for her birthday (In January in WI!!) And she didn't want to get out of the water, even when she started turning blue! I'm thrilled for the weather here to be nice enough (almost) to be going to the beach and out on the boat and all that fun stuff. my girlies will get plenty of time in the water this year I'm sure!
Relax in the shade by the pool with lemonade. :0)
ReplyDeleteWe love to beat the heat with air conditioning, water play and popsicles.
